We are located in the Guanacaste Province which is served by the Liberia International Airport (LIR). This is a beautiful modern airport with rental cars and shuttle services to Hacienda Pinilla on a beautiful drive of approximately 1 hour 15 minutes. San Jose international airport is centrally located in Costa Rica and offers an alternative, but is about a 4 hour drive, or an optional regional flight is available to Tamarindo (about 15 minutes from Hacienda Pinilla).
All the major airlines service LIR from the USA/Canada/Europe including Delta, United, Southwest and others. Direct flights from the USA from several major cities including Los Angeles, Denver, Houston, Atlanta, Miami and others.
Costa Rica is either US Central time zone or Mountain depending upon the switch from daylight savings time (they do not observe).
Costa Ricans (Ticos) speak Spanish, but English is very common and easily gets you around.
Yes, yes, and Costa Rica has recently implemented special legislation for long term entry as a "Digital Nomad". Currently you can stay in the country for 3 months without special visa provisions, but now that can extend indefinitely if you qualify for Digital Nomad status.
Travelers generally prefer the northern hemisphere winter months and this coincides with the Costa Rican dry season, with essentially full sunny days with highs in the 80s to 90s and literally no rain. May to November is the "rainy season" which are typically occasional afternoon showers and thunderstorms with full mornings of beautiful sun and of course the countryside is beautifully green and colorful. The so called rainy season is highly underrated, you get less crowds, great weather with minor exceptions, and better pricing on nearly everything.
La Casa Cenizaro has a professional management company that handles all bookings. Please email us directly (top of this page) and we will put you in contact.
Pricing varies throughout the seasons with starting rates of approximately $800/night with 7 night minimums. Long term rentals are available and negotiated on a individual basis.
